Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, where our production facilities are located, we operate through distribution centers in Des Plaines (Illinois), Shanghai and Tuttlingen (Germany), which is where our EMEA Technical Care Center is located.

Our Leadership
When Ron’s career at Hu-Friedy began in 1990, he devoted his time to establishing relationships and distribution channels for the company’s products in the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, China, India, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. He remains very active in that segment of Hu-Friedy’s business. In 2004, Ron became CEO and later assumed the responsibility of Chairman of the Board in 2011.
Ken has been affiliated with Hu-Friedy since 2004, when he was a member of the company’s advisory board. He went on to serve as Executive Vice President and CFO prior to being appointed President in 2011. Ken has been instrumental in identifying global growth opportunities, maximizing value from the distribution channel, and guiding new product development initiatives. An attorney and CPA, Ken was previously President and CEO of Liberty Group Publishing, and has held various executive level positions leading such key business functions as mergers and acquisitions, business process optimization and overall financial management.
Richard Saslow acquired Hu-Friedy in 1959 from founder Hugo Friedman. He served as its President for the next 41 years, transforming Hu-Friedy from a small boutique instrument maker to a world class dental company and brand. Today, Richard continues to guide the company from a strategic standpoint as Chairman Emeritus.

When Howard joined Hu-Friedy in 1970, he was just the 18th employee. Because of his strong partnership with Richard Saslow and his leadership in expanding Hu-Friedy internationally, he quickly advanced to the position of Executive Vice President and later became its CEO until turning over the reins to Ron Saslow in 2004. Today, with more than 40 years of service, Howard remains dedicated in his role as a Senior Advisor to the CEO and President.
